Due to the many questions that our customers have asked us, we have selected the most frecuent questions about sportfishing, for that reason we can offer you an immediate resource and evacuate your doubts.
1: What happens in the event of a storm?
Every morning we check forecast before going out on the boat. If a storm or heavy rain, strong gusts in the forecast, the trip will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund, or you will have the option of rescheduling the trip.
2: Is the price based per person or per boat?
All of the prices are per boat, there is a limit of 4 - 5 customers per boat.
3: What do you provide on a full-day charter?
The full day charter includes lunch, fresh fruits, soft drinks, juices, bottle water, beer, snacks, bags ice, fishing equipment, your captain and mate.
4: Does the crew speak English?
All of our captains and mates are Costa Rican, however they can use basic or intermediary english vocabulary to communicate with you.
5: When and where will i be able to buy my fishing license?
If your firts time fishing here let us know and we can buy the fishing license for you, fishing license cost $13 each person.
6: How long is the fishing license valid?
There are two type of fishing licenses: annual and monthly, most fishermen buy monthly license. However if you plan come to Costa Rica frequently and go fishing we recomend annual fishing license.
7: What time do the boats leave?
Boats leave the harbor at 7:30 a.m on a full fishing day or 11:30 a.m if you are doing a half day fishing by afternoon..
8: Do you require a deposit for fishing trip?
Yes, a $300 deposit of the total amount of the boat is required, to confirm your reservation before go fishing.
9: Will i be charged any taxes on top of the price?
When paying by credit card, there is a 5% service tax added on to the total amount. When you deposit a check in our account, or if you pay by cash or traveler´s check at our office, there will be no extra charges on top of the price.
